BROTHER DCP-8020 TONER CARTRIDGE

The toner cartridge installed in your Brother DCP-8020 must be replaced after approx. 3,300 printouts. One of the listed indications will appear when the installed toner cartridge reaches the end of its useful life.

· The red [Error] indicator is lit

· The message [Toner Empty] is displayed

· The message [Toner Low] is displayed

· Printouts are faded

· Background shading appears

· Black vertical lines appear

· White vertical lines appear

In the first step of the replacement procedure, you must open the front cover of your Brother DCP-8020, and then remove the drum unit and toner cartridge assembly by pulling it carefully towards you. After that, you must press the lever located on the right side of the drum unit, and then remove the exhausted toner cartridge. Now, you must take the new toner cartridge out of the aluminum bag, and then shake it 8-10 times from side to side. In the next step of the replacement procedure, you must detach the protective plastic cover from the new toner cartridge, and then set the new component into the drum unit. After that, you must push the new toner cartridge down until it clicks into place, and then slide the blue cleaning tab of the drum unit several times from left to right and right to left. Finally, you must return the cleaning tab to its original position, insert the drum unit and toner cartridge assembly into place, and then close the front cover of your Brother DCP-8020.
