This high yield cartridge prints 6,000 pages with average 5% coverage. High Yield Toner Cartridges are designed by printer manufacturers as an upgrade. This cartridge prints 6,000 pages, whereas a standard cartridge prints only 3,000 pages.

Why toner? Why not call it ink? Inkjet printers use liquid ink, while laser printers use toner, which is ink in powder form. A sealed toner cartridge can be stored for over two years prior to use, as opposed to inkjet cartridges which have a shorter shelf-life.
