BROTHER INTELLIFAX 4100E DRUM

While the Intellifax 4100e is turned on, open the front cover of the unit.

Grab onto the handle of the drum cartridge and pull it straight out. Place the cartridge on
a disposable sheet of paper in case of toner spillage. Press and hold down the toner release
lever on the right side of the drum cartridge and pull out the toner cartridge.

Please remove the new drum cartridge from the packaging. Do not touch the green drum
of the assembly. Please keep drum covered from bright light because prolonged exposure to
light may result in damage.

Install the toner cartridge into the new drum cartridge until it clicks into place.

Grab the new drum cartridge by the handle, and align the tabs on the side of the drum
with the guides inside of the printer. Insert the drum cartridge until it is secure, but keep
the front cover open.

Press the "Clear/Back" button on the control panel and the lcd will display "Replace Drum?"

Press the number l to select yes, and close the front cover.

You will know when the Drum unit of the Brother Intellifax 4100E fax machine is almost at its end when the LCD screen shows a <CHANGE DRUM SOON> message or by printing out a supply status page.

After receiving that message you can still use Brother Intellifax 4100E printer but do it with caution because you will still have to change the drum unit.
NOTE: After receiving <CHANGE DRUM SOON> massage you will start having problems with printed pages like lighter than usual or pale images replace the drum unit.

CAUTION: If you have to change the drum unit after you had used the printer wait a while to cool down, because the temperature inside can be extremely high.
