Lexmark C720 Review
The Lexmark C720 is a color laser ink printer that caters to both monochrome and color document printing needs, offering impressive features that both home and office owners would be thrilled to have. With competitive and consistent speeds in printing, a capable handling capacity plus a load of other capabilities, the Lexmark C720 is one color ink printer that combines convenience and quality without compromising cost affordability in its production.
The Lexmark C720 has speeds of 24 pages per minute for black print outputs on both letter and A4 paper types. For color prints, the Lexmark C720 offers 6 pages per minute, again on both letter and A4 paper types. These speeds are made possible through its processor that has 266 MHz processor, with a standard memory of 32 MB. The memory can also be upgraded up to 384 MB, increasing its ability to handle more complex printing tasks. For its resolution, the Lexmark C720 has a maximum of 2,400 dots per inch (dpi) offering, while its standard dpi is at 600.
The Lexmark C720 is a modest color ink printer with decent features that can easily satisfy users with low to mid level of document production needs. However, for users that look for more “punch” in terms of performance and capability, they might find the Lexmark C720 a bit unsatisfactory. One of the qualms with this color ink printer is its slow printing speed for color outputs, with only a maximum of 6 ppm. This is one-fourth the speed offered in its printing monochrome outputs, and for users that have equal if not more expectations for their color prints as much as their monochrome counterparts, the Lexmark C720 is not a suitable printer. Other caveats may come from its paper handling capacity especially for those looking for printers with a much heftier capability in handling paper volume. The Lexmark C720 is also not relatively “silent” with up to 51 decibels whenever it is at work. The Lexmark C720 also has a weight of 39 kilograms, a bit heavy considering its paper handling capacity.
