Product Description
Canon LaserClass 1060/1060P Toner Cartridge - 2,700Pages

This Toner Cartridge prints 2700 pages with an average 5% page coverage. The amount of pages can vary depending upon the amount of ink printed onto each page. (5% page coverage is a standard Canon specification)

This product comes with a 6 month Warranty against any defects (including free replacement). We stand behind our products 100%, as these are not manufactured by Canon.

Why toner? Why not call it ink? Regular ink dries quickly, which is why cartridges for inkjet printers do not last long. Laser Printers use toner, which is ink in the form of powder. A sealed toner cartridge can be stored for 2+ years prior to usage.

Product Manuals
When do I Replace a Toner Cartridge in the Canon LaserCLASS 1060?
The toner cartridge installed in your Canon LaserCLASS 1060 is an important consumable, which comprises several image-developing components (developing cylinder, drum, cleaning blade, toner, and primary charging roller). The lifespan of the standard toner cartridge is approx. 2700 prints at 5% page coverage. The actual cartridge life depends upon various, subjective factors, such as the complexity of the printed documents, the selected exposure settings, and the environmental factors (temperature, humidity). Therefore, your Canon LaserCLASS 1060 is equipped with a special magnetic sensor for a toner level detection.
You should replace the toner cartridge installed in your Canon LaserCLASS 1060, if any of the listed warning messages and print-quality issues appears.

‘’CHANGE CARTRIDGE’’ is displayed – The installed toner cartridge is empty. You must install a new toner cartridge to be able to continue printing.

The front cover of your Canon LaserCLASS 1060 is firmly closed, but the following message ‘’CHECK COVER’’ is displayed – You must make sure that the toner cartridge is correctly installed, and then test your LaserCLASS 1060. Please install a new toner cartridge, if the message continues to appear.

Light printouts – The installed toner cartridge is nearly empty. You should install a new toner cartridge to resolve the issue.

Black printouts – The toner cartridge has been exhausted, or the integrated drum is damaged. A new toner cartridge must be installed.

Black vertical lines – The sensitive surface of the photosensitive drum is damaged. You must install a new toner cartridge.

Smudged black lines – The installed toner cartridge is exhausted. You must install a new toner cartridge.

Black horizontal lines – A component of the installed toner cartridge is at the end of its useful life. Please install a new toner cartridge.

Marks/defects repeatedly appearing at intervals of approx. 1.5 inches or 2.95 inches – The photosensitive drum is at the end of its useful life. Therefore, you should install a new toner cartridge.

Blank spots, white vertical lines, or/and white horizontal lines – The installed toner cartridge is near the end of its useful life. A new toner cartridge must be installed.

Compressed/stretched image – The most common cause for this issue is a broken toner cartridge gear. Herein, you should replace the installed toner cartridge.
How to Install a Toner Cartridge in the Canon LaserCLASS 1060
The installation of a new toner cartridge in your Canon LaserCLASS 1060 is a very simple procedure. However, you should take some precautions to avoid damages to this important consumable component.

Please do not expose the new toner cartridge to direct sunlight or strong artificial light for longer than 5 minutes. Excessive exposure of the toner cartridge to direct light will inevitably lead to future print quality problems.

Please do not open the shutter of the drum (located on the top side of the toner cartridge) because the surface of the drum is photosensitive.

To install a new toner cartridge in your Canon LaserCLASS 1060, you must open the front cover, and then pull the used toner cartridge towards you to remove it from the machine. After that, you must unpack the new toner cartridge, and then align it with the guides of the compartment. Finally, you must slide the new toner cartridge into the main unit until it stops, and then close the front cover of your Canon LaserCLASS 1060.
