Overview:

The Canon Selphy CP780 won’t cost a lot. However it doesn’t offer fast printing speeds and toner cartridges for it are expensive. The Canon Selphy CP780 comes in three colors (blue, pink, or silver) and can function with or without a PC. You can also edit using its color LCD.

Pros:

With the Canon Selphy CP780 you get three front media slots for CompactFlash, SD Card, MultiMediaCard, and Memory Stick, plus a PictBridge port on the left side.
The Bluetooth adaptor and rechargeable battery pack are optional. The front-loading paper cassette holds up to 54 sheets of 4-by-8in photo paper. When printing 4-by-6in photo paper, you will need to push the stack of paper to the front of the tray.

Cons:

There are several reasons that the Canon Selphy CP780 is not a very good choice. It is slow and you waste consumables due to its dye-sublimation printing technology. After printing a photo, the section of the film cannot be used again, no matter how much dye remains which leaves you with a lot of waste. As a result printing is expensive. Completing a single photo requires four passes, which makes printing tedious, taking about 75 seconds on average (0.8 pages per minute) to finish a 4-by-6in snapshot.
Other prints offer faster printing speeds for less. Combine the high cost of printing and speeds and you will understand why this printer is not a good choice.
