Initially, you must turn the Copystar CS-2030 Multifunctional System off, and then open the front cover. Next, you must open the bypass tray and the paper-conveying unit, and then remove the two fixing screws from the image formation unit. After that, you must press the hook on the front image-formation cover and pull the image formation unit out of the machine. Once the image formation unit is removed, you must remove the two screws from the right transfer guide, and then remove the guide. Now, you must remove the screws from the three drum separation claws, and then remove the separation claws. In the next step of the replacement procedure, you must remove the drum shaft by pulling it slowly out of the image formation unit, and then remove the exhausted drum. Please check the letter indicating the drum type printed on the new drum flange. At this stage, you must carefully unpack the new drum, and then insert it into the image formation unit, but please make sure that the new component is oriented correctly. After that, you must refit all previously removed parts, and then finalize the replacement procedure by executing the three maintenance procedures, which are included below.

Setting the drum type

1. Press the [Start] button, and then enter [10871087].
2. Enter [109], and then press the [Start] button.
3. Select the drum type (the letter printed on the new drum flange).
4. Press the [Start] button.

Clearing the drum count

1. Press the [Start] button, and then enter [10871087].
2. Enter [110], and then press the [Start] button.
3. Use the up/down keys to select [Clear].
4. Press the [Start] button.

Clearing the drum drive time

1. Press the [Start] button, and then enter [10871087].
2. Enter [111], and then press the [Start] button.
3. Use the up/down keys to select [Clear].
4. Press the [Start] button.
