PANASONIC DP-C354 BLACK DRUM

Your Panasonic DP-C354 Color Laser Printer is equipped with four OPC Drum Units, which have a certain printing resource. When the printing resource of any/several/all drum unit is nearly exhausted, the built-in drum monitoring system will display the following message ‘’ U29: Replace Drum Unit (Y, M, C, BK)’’. You must replace the exhausted drum unit/units, when the above message appears. Otherwise, the print quality will be gradually decreasing, and eventually the following print quality issues will appear: background fogging, blurred images, blank copies, solid copies, multiple white bandings, or various black/color bandings on the printed document.

You must start the drum replacement procedure in your Panasonic DP-C354 Color Laser Printer by opening the front cover. Now, you must gently pull out the waste toner container, but be careful not to tilt it too much, in order to avoid waste toner spillages. After that, you must locate and unlock the exhausted drum unit by turning its lock release knob counterclockwise. Please note, the installed drum units are arranged in the following order (left-right): Yellow, Magenta, Cyan, and Black. You must also make sure, that the little window below the exhausted drum is entirely black (and not yellow). If the window below the exhausted drum unit is yellow, you must close the front cover and turn the main power switch OFF and then ON. Once the printer completes the ‘’warm up’’ procedure, you must turn the main power switch OFF again, and confirm that the drum`s little window is entirely black. If the drum`s window is black and the exhausted drum unit is already unlocked, you must grasp the drum`s knob and pull straight towards you, in order to remove the exhausted drum unit. Now, you must take out the new drum unit from the plastic transport bag, but avoid touching its gear or removing its protective cover. After that, you must align the arrows stamped on the new drum unit with the marks of the drum unit` slot, and then slowly insert the new drum unit up to the printed on the drum`s protective cover black arrow. In the next step of the replacement procedure, you must remove both the drum`s orange tape and the drum`s protective cover, and then completely insert the new drum unit into the slot. Then, you must turn the drum`s lock release lever clockwise to locked position and return the waste toner container back into the printer. Finally, you can close the front cover of your Panasonic DP-C354 Color Laser Printer and proceed with your next printing project.
