F-320 DRUM

The yield of a new drum unit is approx. 16,000 letter-sized printouts. The technical condition of the installed drum unit is directly defining the print-quality results achieved by your Muratec F-320 Plain-paper Digital Fax. Therefore, you should install a new drum unit if the printouts develop quality problems. Please note that you must make sure that the installed toner cartridge is in a good condition before replacing the drum unit. In addition, you must replace the installed drum unit with a new one if any of the listed and explained messages appears on the LCD screen of your laser fax machine.

‘’No Drum’’ – The built-in monitoring system of your Muratec F-320 Plain-paper Digital Fax cannot detect the drum unit. This problem could be caused by an incorrectly installed, missing, damaged, or faulty drum unit. You should try to resolve the problem by reinstalling the drum unit. A new drum unit must be installed if the problem persists.

‘’REPLACE DRUM SOON’’ – The installed drum unit is near the end of its useful life. You should purchase a new drum unit.

‘’REPLACE DRUM UNIT <> PRINTER NOT USEABLE’’ – All print/copy operations have been suspended due to a completely exhausted drum unit. You must install a new drum unit to restore the normal functionality of your Muratec F-320 Plain-paper Digital Fax.

Please note that the drum unit is installed in a special, sub-compartment that is located next to the toner cartridge slot. Therefore, you must open the top cover of your Muratec F-320 Plain-paper Digital Fax, and then open the cover of the toner cartridge compartment. After that, you must pull the used drum unit straight upwards to remove it from the main unit, and then unpack the new drum unit. Now, you must align the four pins of the new drum unit with the guides of the slot, and then slide the new component firmly into place. Once the new drum unit is inserted, you must use the included cleaning paper to clean the LED print head that is located on the inside of the cover, and then close the cover of the toner cartridge compartment. Finally, you must close the top cover of your Muratec F-320 Plain-paper Digital Fax.
