Panasonic FP-D250 Review
FP-D250 is a monochrome copier and printer introduced in early 1999 by Panasonic in response to the increasing needs of multifaceted business establishments. From the FP series of monochrome copiers released earlier in 1996, Panasonic took a step up and battled in the market with their FP-D250 that delivers crystal clear copy and print outputs that should justify it being a considerable workflow boost. It stands in its clean white appearance of rectangular box resemblance that seems to get even bigger with the addition of finishers and optional paper feeders mounted side by side of the main body. It is styled with simple lines smartly outlined that add up in heightening its distinctiveness. With its speed, flexibility and reliability, FP-D250 is a great choice for small to medium-sized establishments looking for document processing aid.
Leave the worries of large paper handling needs as the copy and print system is made reliable to handle it all boasting a maximum duty cycle of 80,000 copies and prints per month. This performance is associated by a substantial paper sheet capacity standard at 1,150 paper sheets given by the dual 550-sheet paper tray and a 50-sheet bypass tray perfect for handling special media types including transparencies and envelopes. If this still sounds insufficient, the standard 1,150 paper sheet is expandable for up to 5,800 paper sheets. The paper feeders also support paper sizes that come between 4” x 6” to 11” x 17” or documents that’s in between invoice size to ledger size. An Automatic Document Feeder (ADF) and Inverting Automatic Document Feeder (iADF) is as well offered to complement these feeders.
Although the size isn’t as ridiculous, the weight still is relatively heavy for easy mobility at approximately 167 lbs. Also operating system compatibility is a hassle as by default, it is incompatible to newer operating systems including Windows XP, Vista and 7 since its compatibility are on operating systems prior to its release and so driver/s (if available, which may be found directly in the official manufacturer’s site) is/are needed to be downloaded and installed to be compatible with these operating systems. |
