Output quality is outstanding. Color images are clear and vivid. There are no signs of dithering. Text documents are easily readable at four point fonts.
The Gestetner DSm-645 offers many outstanding features. It comes with 64MB RAM and a 20GB Hard Disk Drive. Other features include Scan-Once/Print-Many, Preset Stamp, Background Numbering, and Sample Copy.
Thanks to new technology the Gestetner DSm-645 uses less energy and toner. On top of that it warms up faster than before. It comes with tandard Automatic duplex imaging.
With the Gestetner DSm-645 you get three different finishing options which include a booklet finisher, which enables a wide variety of documents to be completed on-line. It comes with a large LCD operator panel with an intuitive graphical user interface allows even a novice user to complete even the most complex of jobs.
The Gestetner DSm-645 offers languages such as PCL 5e/6, Adobe PostScript 3 (option), and proprietary RPCS drivers. It also comes with Ethernet and parallel ports with high-speed serial and wireless networking options. The RPCS driver allows for single-click printing of even the most complex jobs. Additionally you have access to duplexing and document finishing options.
There are many outstanding scanner features for the Gestetner DSm-645. It comes with embedded Scan-to-Email which makes document distribution easy and economical, as no additional hardware or software is required. Another feature is embedded Scan-to-Folder and Scan-to-FTP that allow you to convert hardcopy documents to electronic files to be stored or shared across your network.
One shortcoming of the Gestetner DSm-645 is that it only offers 600 X 600 dpi resolution. As a result prints are good, but not of professional grade. The Gestetner DSm-645 also tends to jam too often.
