When to Replace the Drum in a Brother HL-5340D Printer

Drum unit in Brother HL-5340D printer has to me changed once you see LED light message. When Drum unit needs to be replaces <DRUM> LED turns on and off in every few seconds. Still the <STATUS> LED will stay green.

You need to replace the drum unit.
NOTE: Keep aside new Drum unit, when possible change.

How to Install a Toner Cartridge in a Brother HL-5340D Printer

Open the front cover door. Uninstall the drum and toner cartridge assembly. Set free toner cartridge from drum unit by pressing the blue lock on the right side of the drum unit.

Dispose of your empty drum unit due to local regulation and laws.

Take the new drum unit. Assemble it with the toner cartridge. You have assembled correctly when hearing a clicking blue lock.

Install the toner and drum assembly back inside of Brother HL-5340D printer.

Press and hold <GO> button until all LED lights are on. Once all LED lights are on let go of <GO> button.

Close front cover door.

CAUTION: If the <DRUM> LED stays turned on even when you change the Drum unit, contact your local supplier.
