HP Color LaserJet 3700dtn Review
The HP Color LaserJet 3700dtn, an upgrade from the 3700dn and its predecessors, is a practical printer that offers quality output. This printer is affordable, effortless, and reliable in its printing capabilities. With reasonable print rates, this printer is easy to operate and maintain. This model is the biggest of the 3700 family, and sits at 23.8" in height, 17.6" in depth, and 19" in width; this printer is the heaviest at 88.5 pounds. This device and its capabilities make it a suitable companion in small-medium business sizes.
This device printers up to 16 pages per minute with a first-page-output of the day at 20 seconds or less. A MIPS RISC 350 Mega Hertz processor is incorporated alongside with HP ImageREt 2400 technologies. The 3700 and the 3700n model utilizes memory of 128 Mega Byte, but the 3700dn and 3700dtn uses a standard 256 Mega Byte. There is no extra capacity in the maximum memory; the maximum memory is 448 Mega Bytes. Businesses are guaranteed a monthly duty cycle of 55,000 pages. The official resolution is a True 600 x 600 dots per inch, but pages will look more refined that your typical 600 x 600 resolution. The HP 3700dtn is a corporate cog that facilitates a nice collection of media handling components; Tray 1 (100-sheets, Tray 2 (250-sheets), and Tray 3 (500-sheets).
Though this printer is an effective corporate cog, it is recommended that the computers networked with the device are running on Windows XP Professional platforms; in-house and mobile computing. The device has been discontinued from HP, thus making it difficult to obtain drivers for newer operating systems like Windows Vista or Windows 7. Other than the weight and size differences in comparison to the 3700 model, there are not really any cons to this device worth noting.
