HP LASERJET M3027 FUSER ASSEMBLY UNIT

The fuser assembly unit is a consumable component, which has a very important role in the printing process. This consumable component fuses/fixes the toner onto the print media. The fuser assembly unit installed in your HP LaserJet M3027 Multifunction Printer supports various temperature modes, in order to be achieved an optimal output quality on different media types, such as plain paper, preprinted, letterhead, transparency, labels, bond, recycled, color, light, card stock, envelope, or rough paper. Please note that you can change the fusing mode from the printer control panel by touching [Administration] – [Print Quality] – [Fuser Modes].
You must replace the installed fuser assembly unit, when it reaches the end of its useful life, or if any of the listed messages and print quality issues is continuously appearing.

‘’50.X FUSER ERROR’’ is displayed – Your HP LaserJet M3027 Multifunction Printer has detected a fuser hardware error. You should try to resolve the problem by turning the printer off and then on. Please install a new fuser assembly unit, if the issue persists.

Dropouts – Parts of graphics or text are missing

Loose toner

Curl or wave – You should confirm that a correct fuser mode has been selected, before proceeding with the replacement of the fuser assembly unit.

Wrinkles or creases

Detailed instructions on how to install a new fuser assembly unit are included below.

Please note that you must remove several components from the laser printer, in order to be able to install a new fuser assembly unit. The removal and replacement procedures for each of these components are included below. Please follow the execution order.

Left-side cover removal
In the first step, you must remove the two screws from the bottom of the left-side cover, and then open the toner cartridge door. Next, you must open the rear output bin completely, and then disengage the two doorstops by pushing the rear output bin down. After that, you must detach the right tab of the cover from the main unit (you should use a flat-blade screwdriver), and then pull the left side of the cover gently towards you. Finally, you must remove the left-side cover from the main unit by pulling it to the left, and then proceed with the removal of the back cover.

Removal of the Back cover and the I/O cover
Once the left-side cover is removed, you must remove the two screws, which are securing the back cover to the printer chassis, and then detach the lower left tab of the back cover. After that, you must remove the back cover by rotating its bottom towards you. Next, you must detach the I/O cover from the rear side of the HP LaserJet M3027 Multifunction Printer by pulling the right side of the cover towards you, and then proceed with the installation of the new fuser assembly unit.

Installation of the new Fuser Assembly Unit
Initially, you must remove the duplexer inlet guide by releasing its two tabs while sliding the guide forward (towards the main unit). Then, you must disconnect all fuser cables and remove them from the cable guide. After that, you must remove the four screws from the front side of the used fuser assembly unit, and then take the used fuser assembly out of the HP LaserJet M3027 Multifunction Printer. Now, you must unpack the new fuser assembly unit, and then insert it firmly into the laser printer. In the next step, you must secure the new fuser assembly unit into place with the four screws, and then plug all fuser cables into the corresponding sockets. Finally, you must reinstall the duplexer inlet guide, the I/O cover, the back cover, and the left-side cover by executing the corresponding removal procedures in reverse order.
