6 Products for the Konica Minolta 1212 Laser Printer
Konica 1212 Review
The Konica 1212 is a versatile office copier capable of producing quality results without compromising costs. With impressive and state-of-the-art technology, the Konica 1212 copier is able to provide professional-looking outputs for any office or business users, while also featuring an environment-friendly design and user-friendly interface that allow for safer, easier and faster usage.
The Konica 1212 features a dependable 12 copies per minute for A4 paper types, with first page out results as fast as 7.5 seconds per page. For A3 paper types, it can produce up to a maximum of 8 copies per minute. The Konica 1212 also supports continuous copying of up to 99 pages, with a warm up time of up to 55 seconds. This warm up time estimate is quite fast considering the Konica 1212 is a relatively big copier. The design of the Konica 1212 is desktop-type, with its reprographic system using indirect electrostatic transfer. The Konica 1212 has single sheets, books and even 3-dimensional objects for its accepted originals, with supported copy sizes from A5R to A3 paper types. For reduction and enlargement ratios, it has presets of 1:0.7, 1:0.7, 1:0.82, 1:0.86, 1:1, 1:1.15, 1:1.22 and 1:1.41. The Konica 1212 also supports zoom magnification from 60 to 165%, which can be adjusted in 1% increments. This feature is quite helpful especially for users who usually make personalized or customized copies.
For other specifications, the Konica 1212 carries a microcomputer for its process control, while its density control features automatic and manual options. The Konica 1212 also has the Automatic Exposure option that allows it to produce clear and vividly bright copies. The Automatic Exposure allows the Konica 1212 to automatically select the perfect tone density for each original copy, providing options of up to 6 levels of tone density.
Other impressive features for the Konica 1212 are its auto-shut off feature and auto reset function. This makes the Konica 1212 quite handy for office work, as it returns to its default copy conditions after a pre-selected time. Multiple users wouldn’t have the hassle resetting the customized conditions themselves, which is quite important especially for offices that put a premium on quick and efficient copy production.
For its paper handling, the Konica 1212 features one tray with a capacity to hold up to a maximum of 250 sheets, with a multi-bypass sheet capable of carrying 50 sheets. This multi sheet bypass enables the Konica 1212 to accept insertions of special paper types such as company letterhead and overhead sheets. Users need not remove the copier’s regular supply, making copies using the Konica 1212 with less hassle and complications, which ultimately translates to faster and more efficient work. It has dimensions measuring 620 x 579 x 398 mm, with a weight registering approximately 37.5 kilograms.
The Konica 1212 is relatively a hefty and bulky copier, with its given dimensions, it is not exactly one of the most space-saving copiers in the market. Also, the Konica 1212 does not fit exactly as a very high volume copy producter, with only a maximum of 300 sheets, for its standard paper trays. Even when the optional paper feeding unit is included, it only brings the Konica 1212’s capacity to 550 pages, which again, is relatively less when compared to other copiers in the market. While the Konica 1212 is marketed as a power-saving machine, it consumes a maximum of 1,300 watts, making it one of the most power hungry copiers around. Some copiers, even multifunction ones, do not amount to such high power consumption rates. |
