7 Products for the Kyocera Mita KM-2030 Laser Printer
Kyocera Mita KM-2030 Review
Kyocera Mita continues to battle the market with its another release of KM series printer and copier that stands out in its reliability and multi-functionality. You should look no further as with this aesthetically pleasing printer and copier can handle various things to assist your business to success. It’s the only monster-size that’s very professional looking in its cream and dark gray color look that should fit any PC and be comfortable anywhere in a work area. Its structure is a bit complicated embedded with a lot of style and smart lines resembling just like any other KM series Kyocera Mita printer and copier but with some standing extension in its left part that's aside adding its functionality, is making it look more pleasing. The main engine in cubic form is a bit huge with a hollow part and several highlights at the top that’s distinct as it is embedded in a dark gray panel. These highlights include an LCD display and several buttons for controls including the larger yellow, green and orange colored buttons for basic functions such as initiating and terminating printing actions.
If you’re business is looking for something to abuse just to meet a large printing volume, KM-2030 could be a fit with its 30,000 pages per month maximum duty cycle. It prints at 20 PPM (pages per minute) for letter size, 11 PPM for legal size and 10 PPM for ledger size in a warm-up time of less than 30 seconds and first print out time of 5.5 seconds. This speed is associated with its resolution of 600 x 600 DPI with 256 levels of tone or a fast 1200 DPI print resolution mode and 200 MHz PowerPC 405 processor.
Although reliable and multifunctional, printing speed is at times inconsistent as it suffers with every printing need that involves complexity in graphics. KM-2030 is as well ridiculously large making it bulky at dimensions 22”W x 24”D x 22”H and the weight at 102 lbs. makes mobility a problem. Operating system compatibility is also a hassle as by default, it is incompatible to newer operating systems namely Windows Vista and 7 since its compatibility are on operating systems prior to its release or in the case of Windows OS, its compatibility is only until Windows XP and so driver/s (if available, which may be found directly in the official manufacturer’s site) is/are needed to be downloaded and installed to be compatible with these newer operating systems. |
