When do I Replace a Drum Unit in the Lanier 5222 Multifunctional Device?

The installed drum unit should be replaced when/if any of the listed messages and error codes appears.

� The alarm message [Change Photoconductor Unit] blinks on the LCD screen – The installed drum unit has reached end of life. You should replace the installed drum unit with a new one.

� The error code [392] is displayed – You must make sure that the drum unit is installed correctly, and then test your Lanier 5222 Multifunctional Device. Please install a new drum unit if the problem persists.

How to Install a Drum Unit in the Lanier 5222 Multifunctional Device

You must start the replacement procedure by opening the right cover of your Lanier 5222 Multifunctional Device. After that, you must open the front cover, and then remove the exhausted drum unit by pulling it towards you while pushing its release lever. In the next step of the replacement procedure, you must unpack the new drum unit, and then remove the protective tape and seals from the new component. Now, you must slide the new drum unit along the guides of the slot until it locks into place, and then close the front cover. Finally, you must close the right cover of the Lanier 5222 Multifunctional Device. Please note that the machine is equipped with a drum-detect switch, which means that the drum count will be reset automatically.
