The HP LaserJet 4345 offers high performance without breaking the bank. It is easy to set up and maintain. With HP printers you know that you will get outstanding quality at affordable prices.
This model is easy to manage since you don’t have to get up and look at the screen on the printer to see what is going on. You can easily manage it from your PC.
The LaserJet 4345 delivers amazing speed and quality whether printing or copying. The basic installation consists of plugging in the Cat 5 cable.
With this printer you get a100-sheet auxiliary tray and an internal 500-sheet tray with 256MB of memory and a 20GB hard drive. The automatic document-feeder allows you to copy, fax, or scan both sides of documents without having to manually flip them over. Unfortunately this printer is not capable of handling tabloid size paper.
The touch-screen is easy to use and won’t stress you out. You can scanning to a PC with its optional Digital Sending Software. Setting up the receiving folders requires you to pointing to them in the configure mode, which either you do on the server or users do on their clients.
One thing to love about this model is that it is easy to manage. Its internal Web server and HP's Web Jetadmin software allow you to keep an eye on its status from your PC. One drawback of this printer is that you can't prevent a curious employee from changing the device's IP address or putting it in test mode.
The LaserJet 4345 offers outstanding performance. It can print 43 pages per minute when copying and 27 PPM with the printer. Text documents produced with this machine are sharp and clear. Even small fonts produced by this printer are easy to read. The 4345's copies are free of spatter or cloudiness.
Graphics with the LaserJet 4345 are smooth and get outstanding marks. However it does produce graphics that show some graininess in places.
One problem you will encounter when owning the LaserJet 4345 is that it is not capable of handling all types of paper. There is no place to stick an external label. Plus this model lacks finishing features that come with other copiers. Finally it does not allow you to add page numbers to copy jobs.
The HP LaserJet 4345 doesn’t do a good job when it comes to gray-scale graphics. Gray-scale graphics show a noticeable loss of detail. The 4345 also doesn’t do a good job when scanning text at 200 dpi. Some fine details are not very clear.
