Lexmark E250dn Toner Cartridge - Prints 3500 Pages
  OVER 50

Price:  $47.89
Product Description
Lexmark E250dn TONER - 4,500 Pages

This Toner Cartridge prints 3500 pages with an average 5% page coverage. The amount of pages can vary depending upon the amount of ink printed onto each page. (5% page coverage is a standard Lexmark specification)

This product comes with a 6 month Warranty against any defects (including free replacement). We stand behind our products 100%, as these are not manufactured by Lexmark.

Why toner? Why not call it ink? Regular ink dries quickly, which is why cartridges for inkjet printers do not last long. Laser Printers use toner, which is ink in the form of powder. A sealed toner cartridge can be stored for 2+ years prior to usage.

Lexmark E250DN Review

The Lexmark E250DN is the network ready version of the Lexmark E250 hardware. This 30 page per minute desktop printer offers an impressive first page out time from energy save mode and a built in Ethernet port, making it a perfect device to share among a workgroup that does not keep their printer in constant operation, but still requires occasional, very prompt printing.

The Lexmark E250DN is the absolute perfect printer for a very specific set of users. One of the device’s most outstanding features is its 7.5 second first page out time that applies when the device is in standby more or energy save mode alike. This means that even when the device is only using a trivial amount of energy via its eco friendly mode, users will not end up stuck with a horrible warm up time when printing from this mode. When using the energy save mode, there is no penalty in print time, making the device ideal for users who need only print occasionally.

Furthermore, the device is network ready, so a small office with extremely light print demands should rejoice in the shared ability of the Lexmark E250DN; a printer that can truly help to reduce energy costs dramatically. Though no standard model with wireless capabilities built in exists, a wifi add on can be purchased separately for the Lexmark E250DN and Lexmark E250D printers, making their setups as easy as possible

The Lexmark E250DN measures 10.2 inches tall, 14.1 inches wide, and 15.6 inches deep, making it more than suitable for a desktop even if it is a network printer. It also weighs a minimal 25 pounds which makes it easy to move around if needed. It is outfitted with a USB port and a Parallel port on top of its network port, though users who require only direct single PC hosting should definitely go with the marginally cheaper Lexmark E250D unit.

A one year warranty backs the Lexmark E250DN hardware, and its maximum monthly duty cycle of 25,000 pages suggests that the hardware is fairly sturdy in the first place. One thing that should not go without saying about the printer is how remarkably quite it is. With a dBA rating of only 50, it is actually one of the quietest printers while in operation on the market, even outperforming its close competition.

It would have been nice to see an LCD readout screen on the Lexmark E250DN, even if it was an extremely basic one. Trying to interpret the blink signals on the front of a stripped down printer case can be confusing and less than enlightening. Users can take advantage of their included software to monitor printer updates but, frankly, who wants to do that? A simple alphanumeric single line screen would have done the trick. There are five different LED lights on the front of the machine and when it is in trouble, these lights will blink in various combinations that you will need the user guide to interpret, which is obviously a tedious task.
