Lexmark T622 Review
Originally priced at about eighteen hundred dollars, the Lexmark T622 has, to say the least, come down in price from its original MSRP, now costing only a few hundred and available online. This makes the discontinued printer 40 page per minute bargain that would be perfect for the buyer that doesn’t mind having an older piece of hardware.
With its very unique side sitting paper output tray, the Lexmark T622 does not look like other Lexmark printers. In fact, the device kind of stands alone with its bubbly stature and top mounted cooling fan. Looks aside, the device’s 40 page per minute print speed is quite outstanding, though real world results will, of course, be considerably lower.
The weight of the Lexmark T622 particularly stands out as one of the signs of the device’s age. While 40 pages per minute print speeds can be achieved with physically smaller hardware, this printer was built when it took a 45 pound beast to pump out that kind of performance. The device is also a little taller than one would like, standing at over 20 inches. Its dimensions of 15.9 x 16.5 x 20.2 inches (W x D x H) do not prohibit the unit from being used as a desktop printer, but are sure to be a little intimidating for some. When the additional paper tray is added, the device will stand even taller and also look quite awkward due to the top heavy nature of the hardware.
