OKIDATA C5200N MAGENTA TONER CARTRIDGE

The lifespan of the standard-capacity toner cartridges is approx. 3,000 pages. You can check the current toner levels from the [Usage] menu of the control panel, or from the computer that is connected to the OkiData C5200n Color Laser Printer by selecting [Start] – [Settings] – [Printers] – [Status]. You should replace the installed toner cartridges in the following circumstances:

The error message [<Color> TONER SENSOR ERROR] is displayed – The OkiData C5200n Color Laser Printer does not detect the specified toner cartridge. You must make sure that the specified toner cartridge is properly seated into the corresponding toner cartridge slot. Please replace the indicated toner cartridge if the problem persists.

The status message [ORDER xxx] is displayed – The indicated toner cartridge is nearly empty. You must make sure that you have a replacement toner cartridge of the specified color in stock. Please be aware that a nearly empty toner cartridge can cause various print quality issues.

The error message [REPLACE TONER nnn: <Color> TONER EMPTY] is displayed – You must replace the exhausted toner cartridge to continue printing.

Print quality is unsatisfactory – You should try to improve print quality by cleaning the LED head with lens cleaner. After that, you must make sure that the recommended type of paper is loaded into the input tray, and then check if any of the installed toner cartridges needs replacing. Please install a new toner cartridge set if print quality does not improve. 

In the initial step of the replacement procedure, you must unlock the top cover by pressing the release button on the left, and then open the cover completely. Please avoid touching the fusing area. Next, you must unlock the toner cartridge that you want to replace by pulling its colored release lever towards the control panel, and then pull the right end of the exhausted component out of the slot. After that, you must slide the exhausted toner cartridge to the right, and then discard it. Now, you must take the replacement toner cartridge out of the protective plastic bag, and then shake it 5-6 times horizontally to ensure that the toner is evenly distributed inside the cartridge. Once you have redistributed the toner, you must remove the protective tape from the bottom of the new toner cartridge, and then insert the left end of the new component into the corresponding slot. In the next step of the replacement procedure, you must push the right end of the new toner cartridge down into the slot, and then press the colored release lever towards the rear side of the machine. After that, you must use the included lens cleaner to wipe the surface of the corresponding LED head, and then finalize the replacement procedure by closing the top cover of your OkiData C5200n Color Laser Printer.
