8 Products for the Sharp AL-1631 Laser Printer
Sharp AL-1631 Review
Discontinued in 2007, the Sharp AL-1631 is a remnant of an era where multifunctional copy machines operated at half the speed that they do today. The unit comes with many of the features and functions that are still familiar, but simply cannot keep up with what one might currently find on the shelves.
The black and white Sharp AL-1631 desktop copy machine has a respectably large document glass that, for some reason, is 10 inches x 14 inches in dimension. The unit can of course only print to a maximum of 8.5 x 14 inch, or Letter sized, paper, but the large document glass could potentially come in handy when scanning oddly shaped objects and paper.
With a maximum copy speed of 16 pages per minute for Letter sized paper, the Sharp AL-1631 is sluggish by today’s standards. Its print speed tops out at only 16 ppm as well, making it about half as fast as desktop laser printers currently for sale. The unit is also severely lacking in other areas such as maximum monthly print volume. |
