Product Description
Sharp AR-156 Toner Cartridge (AR156 Copier) - 6,500 Pages

This Toner Cartridge prints 6500 pages with an average 5% page coverage. The amount of pages can vary depending upon the amount of ink printed onto each page. (5% page coverage is a standard Sharp specification)

This product comes with a 6 month Warranty against any defects (including free replacement). We stand behind our products 100%, as these are not manufactured by Sharp.

Why toner? Why not call it ink? Regular ink dries quickly, which is why cartridges for inkjet printers do not last long. Laser Printers use toner, which is ink in the form of powder. A sealed toner cartridge can be stored for 2+ years prior to usage.

Product Manuals
When do I Replace a Toner Cartridge in the Sharp AR-156 Digital Laser Copier?
A new, standard toner cartridge lasts approx. 6,500 pages at 5% coverage. You can check the status of the toner cartridge installed in your Sharp AR-156 Digital Laser Copier by pressing and holding down the two [Copy Exposure] keys simultaneously for more than 5 seconds, and then pressing and holding down the [Copy Ratio Display] key for more than 5 seconds. Please note that the current toner level will be displayed on the control LCD in percentages. [L0] will be displayed if the level of remaining is less than 10%.
You should install a new toner cartridge when:
The [Toner Cartridge] indicator is steadily lit – Your Sharp AR-156 Digital Laser Copier has detected a low toner level. You should purchase a new toner cartridge soon. Please install the new toner cartridge when any of the following indications appears, or if print quality becomes unsatisfactory.
The [Toner Cartridge] indicator is blinking – The installed toner cartridge has been exhausted. Printing/copying will not continue until a new toner cartridge is installed.
[CH] is displayed – The most common cause of this indication is a missing toner cartridge. Therefore, you must make sure that the toner cartridge is firmly inserted into the corresponding slot of the digital laser copier, and then close all covers firmly. Please install a new toner cartridge if the problem persists.
How to Install a Toner Cartridge in the Sharp AR-156 Digital Laser Copier

Next, you must remove the empty toner cartridge by pressing its releasing button and pulling it towards you. Please do not shake or tap on the used toner cartridge. After that, you must open the protective plastic bag of the new toner cartridge, and pull the new component out. To prepare the new toner cartridge for installation, you must hold it on both sides, and shake it five-six times horizontally. Now, you must slide the new toner cartridge along the guides of the slot until it locks into place, and then pull out the shutter tape. In the concluding step of the replacement procedure, you must close the front cover, and then close the side cover of your Sharp AR-156 Digital Laser Copier.

You must turn the laser copier off, and then open the side and front covers of the main unit. Now, you must pull the developer cartridge slowly out of the laser copier, being careful not touch the installed drum unit, and then remove the screw from the upper cover of the developer cartridge. In the next step of the replacement procedure, you must remove all of the old developer from the developer cartridge while turning the gear on the end of the magnetic roller in a clockwise direction, and then loosen the new developer by shaking the aluminum bag. At this stage, you must open the aluminum bag, and then supply developer to the top of the MG roller evenly while rotating the gear of the magnetic roller in a clockwise direction. After supplying the new developer into the developer cartridge, you must attach the upper cover of the developer unit (fix it with the screw), and then rotate the MG roller several revolutions clockwise to ensure equal distribution of the developer.
