This Toner Cartridge prints 5000 pages with an average 5% page coverage. The amount of pages can vary depending upon the amount of ink printed onto each page. (5% page coverage is a standard Sharp specification)

When do I have to Add Toner in the Sharp SF-2116 Copying Machine?

Your Sharp SF-2116 Copying Machine is equipped with a built-in system, which is constantly monitoring the toner level. When the system detects a low toner level, the toner indicator (illustrates six black dots in pyramidal order) will light up, and you should purchase a new toner cartridge and add toner. Also, the printing quality will be drastically reduced, and all new copies will gradually become lighter due to the lack of toner. However, if you decide to continue using the copying machine without adding toner, the remaining toner will be consumed eventually, and then all copying operations will be blocked. Please note, that the toner indicator will blink, once the toner is completely consumed.

How to Install a Toner Cartridge in the Sharp SF-2116 Copying Machine

You must start the toner replacement procedure in your Sharp SF-2116 Copying Machine by opening the front cover. Then, you must pull down the developer unit lock release lever and pull the developer unit until it stops. After that, you must shake the new toner cartridge horizontally 5-6 times with the protective tape facing upwards, and then you must insert the toner cartridge along the developer unit guides. Then, you must slowly remove the toner cartridge shutter and tap several times on the top of the toner cartridge, so the toner is completely drained into the developer unit. Once the new toner cartridge is completely emptied, you must remove it and return the developer unit and its lock release lever to their original position. Finally, you must close the front cover of your Sharp SF-2116 Copying Machine and proceed with your next copying/printing projects.

How to Enlarge Documents in the Sharp SF-2116 Copy Machine

First lay the original on the glass for originals and close the machine. Then press the up and down button on the keypad and select your desired copy size. You can choose to enlarge documents 122%, 141%, and 200%. Then select the correct zoom on the keypad. You can choose sizes from 50% to 200% by moving up or down one percent. Then check that you have selected the correct size and format for your print and hit the print key.

How to Print Double-Sided Copies with the Sharp SF-2116 Copy Machine

Begin by placing the original on the glass for original copies. Make sure that it is placed correctly between the marks for A4 paper. Then close the top of the printer. Next you need to select double-sided copies. Make sure that you select how many double-sided copies you would like to print. Finally select print and you will get double sided copies.
