When do I Replace an Ink Cartridge in the Epson Stylus NX520

You can check the status of the ink cartridges installed in your Epson Stylus NX520 by pressing [Setup] and then selecting [Ink Levels]. One of the listed indications will appear if an installed ink cartridge needs replacing.

How to Install an Ink Cartridge in the Epson Stylus NX520

You must start the replacement procedure by switching your Epson Stylus NX520 on. Then, you must press the [OK] button. After that, you must open the scanner and the ink cartridge lid, and then pull the exhausted ink cartridge out of the main unit while squeezing the release tab. Now, you must shake the new ink cartridge several times from side to side, and then take it out of the protective bag. In the next step of the replacement procedure, you must remove the protective yellow tape, and then insert the new ink cartridge until it locks into place. Finally, you must close the ink cartridge lid and the scanner, and then press the [OK] button.
