When do I Replace an Ink Cartridge in the Lexmark X7350 Printer?

You can determine if an installed ink cartridge needs replacing by checking the ink levels, which can be accomplished by:

� Selecting [Maintenance] – [View ink levels]

� Clicking the status tab of the Solution Center

The Lexmark X7350 Printer will display one of the listed messages if an ink cartridge-related abnormality occurs. Please note that some abnormalities, which usually cause print quality problems, cannot be detected by the built-in monitoring system of the printer. All print quality problems caused by such abnormalities are also listed.

� [Black Ink Low], [Color Ink Low], or [Photo Ink Low] – The indicated ink cartridge is nearing end of life. You should order a replacement ink cartridge.

� [1205: Left Cartridge Error], [Left Cartridge Incorrect], [1206: Right Cartridge Error], and [Right Cartridge Incorrect] – The Lexmark X7350 Printer has detected a hardware problem. You should remove the indicated ink cartridge, and then unplug the power cord of the printer. After that, you must plug the power cord back in, reinstall the ink cartridge, and then try to print. Please replace the indicated ink cartridge if the problem persists.

� [Cartridge Error 1203], [Cartridge Error 1204], and [Cartridge Error 120F] – You must remove all ink cartridges, unplug the power cord, and then plug it back in. After that, you must reinstall the ink cartridges, and then test the Lexmark X7350 Printer. Please replace the installed ink cartridges if the same error appears again.

� [Left Cartridge Missing] or [Right Cartridge Missing] – The Lexmark X7350 Printer does not detect the specified ink cartridge. You must make sure that all ink cartridges are installed correctly. Please replace the specified ink cartridge if the problem persists.

� [Error 1104] – This error message indicates that the ink cartridges have been installed incorrectly. You must remove the ink cartridges, and then reinstall them into the corresponding slots.

How to Install an Ink Cartridge in the Lexmark X7350 Printer

Initially, you must make sure that the Lexmark X7350 Printer is switched on, lift the scanner unit, and then wait until the cartridge carrier stops at the loading position. After that, you must open the cover of the slot where the exhausted ink cartridge is installed, and then pull the exhausted component out of the printer. Now, you must take the new ink cartridge out of the protective bag, and then remove the sticker and the protective tape from the new component. Please do not touch the gold contact area or the metal nozzles of the new ink cartridge. In the next step of the replacement procedure, you must insert the new ink cartridge into the corresponding slot of the carriage, and then close the cover of the slot. Finally, you must close the scanner unit, and then press [OK] to print an alignment page.
