STYLUS C66 BLACK OEM INK CARTRIDGE

The Epson Stylus C66 InkJet Printer is based on the CMYK printing system, which means that the machine is equipped with for ink cartridges. A new, standard-capacity ink cartridge yields approx. 400 pages at 5% coverage. You can check the status of the installed ink cartridges from the EPSON Status Monitor 3 app.

You should replace an installed ink cartridge when/if:

· The red [INK] indicator flashes – The Epson Stylus C66 InkJet Printer has detected that one or more ink cartridges are nearly empty. Please note that the colors of all nearly empty ink cartridges will be displayed on the LCD screen. You must make sure that you have a replacement set of ink cartridges in stock.

· The red [INK] indicator remains lit – One or more installed ink cartridges are empty. Please replace the exhausted components to resume printing/copying.

· An installed ink cartridge is more than six months old – To ensure optimal print quality, you should replace the ink cartridge even if the red [INK] indicator is off.

· The green [POWER] and the red [INK] indicators are lit – The Epson Stylus C66 InkJet Printer has detected that one or more ink cartridges are missing or have been installed incorrectly. You should try to solve the problem by reinstalling all ink cartridges as described in ‘’How to Install an Ink Cartridge in the Epson Stylus C66 InkJet Printer’’. Please replace the installed ink cartridges if the same control panel indication appears again.

· Banding appears

· Printouts are faint or have gaps

· Inaccurate colors

· Missing colors

In the first step of the replacement procedure, you must switch the Epson Stylus C66 InkJet Printer on, and then open the top cover. After that, you must press the [Add Ink] button (please do not hold down the button), and wait until the printhead stops moving. Now, you must press the [Add Ink] button one more time, and wait while the printhead moves to the ink cartridge-replacement position. Once the printhead stops moving, you must open its top cover, and then remove the exhausted ink cartridge by pulling it straight upwards while pressing the black release tab. In the next step of the replacement procedure, you must shake the replacement ink cartridge several times from side to side, and then remove it from the plastic bag. Please do not touch the green circuit board that is located on the front side of the new ink cartridge. After that, you must position the new ink cartridge over the corresponding slot, and then push it down until it locks into place. Next, you must close the printhead cover, and then close the top cover of the main unit. Finally, you must press the [Add Ink] button to initialize the new ink cartridge. Please do not turn off the Epson Stylus C66 InkJet Printer while the green [POWER] indicator flashes.
