EPSON STYLUS CX4200 BLACK OEM INK CARTRIDGE

Your Epson Stylus CX4200 All-in-One Printer is based on the On-demand ink jet technology. The printer is equipped with four ink cartridges (Cyan, Magenta, Yellow, and Black) that are consumable-components. The installed ink cartridges feature Bidirectional printing with logic seeking. Please note that the lifespan of the ink cartridges is six months after they have been removed from the protective packaging.
You can check the ink levels and the aligning of the print head nozzles by executing the short procedure that is included below.

Checking the alignment and the current ink levels

1. Turn off your Epson Stylus CX4200 All-in-One Printer by pressing its [Power] button.
2. Load letter-size (Ltr) paper in the input tray.
3. Press and hold down the [Ink] and the [Power] buttons simultaneously for about 3 seconds.

If the printouts are of poor quality or/and the alignment pattern does not look good, you should clean the print heads by executing the following procedure.

Cleaning the print heads

1. You must make sure that your Epson Stylus CX4200 All-in-One Printer is turned on, and that all installed ink cartridges still contain enough ink.
2. Press and hold down the [Ink] button for 3 seconds – this action starts the head-cleaning cycle.

You must replace an installed ink cartridge(s) if:

The red [Ink] LED flashes – One or more ink cartridges are near the end of their useful life. You should check the ink levels, and replace all nearly empty ink cartridges.

The red [Ink] LED stays on – One or more installed ink cartridges are empty. You must replace all empty ink cartridges to be able to continue printing.

An installed ink cartridge(s) is more than six months old

The quality does not improve after aligning and cleaning of the print heads

You must make sure that the Epson Stylus CX4200 All-in-One Printer is in a Stand-by mode, and that the document cover is closed. Then, you must open the scanner unit, and press the [Ink] button several times until the ink cartridge holder moves to the ink-cartridge replacement position. Once the ink cartridge holder stops moving, you must open its cover, and then remove the exhausted ink cartridge by squeezing its locking tab and pulling it straight upwards. In the next step of the installation, you must shake the new ink cartridge several times from side to side, and then remove the protective packaging. Please do not touch the green chip on the front of the new toner cartridge. Now, you must slide the new ink cartridge into the corresponding slot of the cartridge holder until it clicks into place, and then close the cover of the cartridge holder. Finally, you must close the scanner unit, and then press the [Ink] button. Please note that the printer is ready for printing when the [Power] LED stops flashing and remains on.
