OFFICEJET 520 BLACK OEM INK CARTRIDGE

The built-in monitoring system of your HP OfficeJet 520 Ink Jet Printer is programmed to display a warning message on the control LCD, when an ink cartridge related abnormality occurs. Please take the appropriate actions, when any of the listed and described below messages appears on the control display of your color ink jet printer.

‘’Black Ink Low’’ – This message will be displayed on the control LCD, when the remaining amount of ink in the Black cartridge is too low (enough for <50 pages/prints). Please note that the remaining ink will be consumed very fast, if you have chosen the highest image density settings. You should install a new Black ink cartridge as soon as possible, in order to be avoided a non-operational/’’off line’’ mode.

‘’Color Ink Low’’ - This message will be displayed on the control LCD, when the remaining amount of ink in the Tri-Color cartridge is too low (enough for <50 pages/prints). Please note that the remaining ink will be consumed very fast, if you have chosen the highest image density settings. You should install a new Tri-Color ink cartridge as soon as possible, in order to be avoided a non-operational/’’off line’’ mode.

‘’Insert Black Cartridge’’ or ‘’Reinsert Black Cartridge’’ – Both of these error messages are indicating that the Black Ink Cartridge is incorrectly installed or missing. Please reinstall the Black ink cartridge. You must replace the problematic ink cartridge, if the error message is still displayed after the correct reinstallation.

‘’Insert Color Cartridge’’ or ‘’Reinsert Color Cartridge’’ – Both of these error messages are indicating that the Color Ink Cartridge is incorrectly installed or missing. Please reinstall the Color ink cartridge. You must replace the problematic ink cartridge, if the error message is still displayed after the correct reinstallation.

‘’Replace wrong black cartridge’’ – This message will be displayed when the installed Black ink cartridge is unsupported or damaged. You must install a new Black ink cartridge manufactured for your HP OfficeJet 520 Ink Jet Printer.

‘’Replace wrong color cartridge’’ – This message will be displayed when the installed Tri-Color ink cartridge is unsupported or damaged. You must install a new Tri-Color ink cartridge manufactured for your HP OfficeJet 520 Ink Jet Printer.

You should always keep a spare set of ink cartridges for your color ink jet printer in stock, but please remember to store all consumable components in accordance with the manufacturer’s instructions and recommendations.

In order to install a new ink cartridge in your HP OfficeJet 520, you must turn on the printer and wait for the automatic initializing procedure to be executed (approx. 10 seconds). Then, you must open the top cover and locate the exhausted/emptied ink cartridge. Please note that the installed Black ink cartridge is located into the left slot of the cartridges holder. In the next step of the installation, you must detach the exhausted ink cartridge from the corresponding slot of the holder, and then completely remove it from the main unit. Please avoid shaking the used ink cartridges. After that, you must take the new ink cartridge out of the transport packaging, and then remove the solid blue and the solid white pieces of protective paper from the new component, but please avoid touching the nozzles or the copper contacts. Now, you must insert the bottom side of the new ink cartridge into the corresponding slot of the holder (left – Black; right – Tri-Color) until it clicks into place, and then push the front side of the new ink cartridge towards the holder until the new component snaps into place. Finally, you must close the top cover of your HP OfficeJet 520 Ink Jet Printer, and press [1] when the following message ‘’If new XX cartridge press 1. If used, press 2’’ appears on the control display.
