How to Install a Bail Assembly in the HP DesignJet 430
In the first step of the replacement procedure, you must switch the HP DesignJet 430 off, and then unplug the power cord. After that, you must open the top cover, and then slide the carriage assembly to the left side. Now, you must push the left plastic end of the bail assembly to the right to release it, and then remove the bail assembly. In the next step of the replacement procedure, you must remove the star wheel assemblies, and then insert the plastic ends of the new bail assembly into the mounting holes. Finally, you must close the top cover, and then perform bail service test.
How to Install an Electronics Module in the HP DesignJet 430
In the first step of the replacement procedure, you must switch the HP DesignJet 430 off, and then unplug the power cord. After that, you must remove the right cover, and then unplug the connector of the front panel assembly from the main PCA. Now, you must detach the rear cover plate by removing its fixing screw, and then remove the screw and the washer from the back cover. In the next step of the replacement procedure, you must remove the screw and the washer from the bottom of the electronics module, and then detach the electronics module from the back cover by releasing the tabs. Once you have detached the electronics module from the back cover, you must slide it towards the front side of the main unit, and then slide the module to the right. Next, you must unplug the cables from the main PCA, and then remove the electronics module. Finally, you must unpack the new electronics module, and then install it by executing the current procedure in reverse order.

Initially, you must switch the HP DesignJet 430 off, and then unplug the power cord. After that, you must slide the ink cartridge carriage to the left end of the compartment, and then remove the right and left end-covers. Now, you must detach the trailing cable both from the main PCA and the right bracket guides, and then detach the encoder strip from the encoder strip spring by removing the two nuts. In the next step of the replacement procedure, you must detach the encoder strip from the left bracket by removing the screw and the washer, and then remove the encoder strip by pulling it to the right. Finally, you must unpack the new encoder strip, and then install it by executing the current procedure in reverse order.
