Initially, you must make make sure that the printer is turned on, and then open the scanning unit/top cover. Please note that the print head holder will be automatically moved to the center of the compartment after you have opened the scanning unit, and it will automatically move to the right side of the compartment after approximately 10 minutes. In the next step of the replacement procedure, you must remove the exhausted ink cartridge/cartridges by pulling it upwards while pressing its lock release lever, and then unpack the new ink cartridge by pulling the orange tape in the direction pointed by the printed arrow. Now, you must finalize the preparation of the new ink cartridge by removing the orange protective cap from the bottom of the cartridge, and then insert the new ink cartridge into the appropriate/corresponding slot of the print head. Please note that the installed ink cartridges must be arranged in the following order from left to right: Black (BK), Magenta (M), Yellow (Y), Pigment Black (PGBK), and Cyan (C). Then, you must close the scanning unit and the paper output tray. Now, you must wait approx. 3 minutes for the automatic print head cleaning procedure to be executed, and then load paper in the cassette. Once the automatic print head aligning procedure has been completed, you must make sure that the following message ''Head alignment is recommended if you print photos. '' is displayed on the control LCD, and then press the [OK] button. Finally, you must wait for the stand-by screen to be displayed, and then test your Canon PIXMA MP560.
