Canon PIXMA iP90 Review
The Canon PIXMA iP90 is a powerful, portable photo printer that has earned a 4-star rating. It provides exceptional printing on the road and is robustly compact. The iP90 can be placed anywhere. Regardless, it will produce the superb output most projects need. Its printed text documents will have a professional look. Users can format web pages with software included and in full-color with trimming features. Photographers, artists, and hobbyists find peace of mind knowing they can get the detailed, sharp prints they need. While the printer is compact and produces good photos, there are still limitations imposed on users.
The main features of this compact printer are how fast it can print and the portability. The printer is extremely compact and prints 16 Black pages per minute, 12 Color pages per minute, and 4 x 6 borderless photos in around a minute. There are a total of 1,088 nozzles; 320 for Black, and 256 x 3 for Cyan/Magenta/Yellow. The print resolution for Black remains pretty standard at 600 x 600 dots per inch and 4800 x 1200 dots per inch in Color. For a printer, that is 12.2 inches in width, 6.9 inches in depth, 2.0 inches in height, and 4 pounds; it has robust features with cutting-edge technology. The printer should operate in the background with its 42 Kilo Byte Buffer RAM and relatively low noise-level.
The cons to the Canon PIXMA iP90 had to be scraped up, but here are a few cons associated with the printer. The Bluetooth adapter can be quite expensive to the average consumer. Ink cartridges are quite small. Depending on the circumstance, the printer is not perfect for students, budget-wise. It would be nicer to see this printer come with Bluetooth integrated, rather than otpional. USB cables are optional, and the printer can not print 11 x 17-sized papers. Some users have complained the printer is expensive, as well as, the cost of printing. The printer is not ideal for high-volume production. Keep in mind, most printer malfunctions may be isolated events. |
