PHOTOSMART C6380 HIGH YIELD CYAN OEM INK CARTRIDGE

You should replace an installed ink cartridge(s), if you notice a significant decrease in the print quality, and/or when a warning/error message is displayed on the control panel of your HP PhotoSmart C6380 All-in-One Printer. All messages and print quality issues, which are indicating ink cartridge related abnormalities, are listed and explained below.

‘’Cartridges in wrong slot’’ or ‘’Check ink cartridges’’ – The ink cartridges have been installed incorrectly. You must take all ink cartridges out of the main unit, and then reinstall them into the corresponding slots. A new ink cartridge set must be installed, if the issue persists.

‘’Incompatible ink cartridges’’ – The indicated ink cartridges cannot be used in your HP PhotoSmart C6380 All-in-One Printer. You must install new, compatible ink cartridges of the corresponding colors.

‘’Ink Alert’’ – One or more installed ink cartridges are nearly empty. You must install new ink cartridges of the specified colors soon after the initial appearance of the warning message on the control panel LCD.

‘’Ink cartridge problem’’ – All print/copy operations are disabled due to a detected ink-cartridge malfunction. You should try to resolve the problem by turning the printer off and then on. You must install a new ink cartridge of the indicated color, if the error message continues to appear.

‘’Previously used genuine HP ink cartridge’’ – This message will be displayed every time you reinstall an ink cartridge(s).

Print quality is negatively affected by horizontal streaks, lines, faded areas, wrong colors, bleeding colors, inaccurate colors, horizontal bands, missing parts of text/graphics, vertical streaks, skewed prints, and/or ink streaks.

Please note that you can obtain detailed information about the installed ink cartridges at any time by printing a status report. You must load paper into the input tray and navigate to [Setup] – [Tools] – [Printer Status Report] to print a status report. Please follow the instructions given below to install a new ink cartridge in your HP PhotoSmart C6380 All-in-One Printer.

In the first step of the installation, you must make sure that your HP PhotoSmart C6380 All-in-One Printer is turned on, and then open the ink-cartridge access door. Once the cartridge carriage stops moving, you must unlock the empty ink cartridge by pressing its lock-release tab, and then remove the cartridge from the main unit. After that, you must take the new ink cartridge out of the protective packaging, and then remove the protective orange cap by twisting it in a counterclockwise direction. Now, you must slide the new ink cartridge into the corresponding slot of the carriage until it clicks into place, and then finalize the installation by closing the ink-cartridge access door.
