When do I Replace an Ink Cartridge in the HP DeskJet D2560 InkJet Printer?

The HP DeskJet D2560 InkJet Printer uses two ink cartridges (Black and Tri-color). Please note that the machine can print in black and white even if only one ink cartridge is installed. You can check the status of the installed ink cartridges by using the HP Toolbox software.

One of the listed indications will appear if the HP DeskJet D2560 InkJet Printer detects an ink cartridge related abnormality.

� The [Tri-color] or/and the [Black] ink cartridge indicator is on and solid – The indicated ink cartridge needs to be replaced. Please install a new ink cartridge of the indicated color.

How to Install an Ink Cartridge in the HP DeskJet D2560 InkJet Printer

You must switch the HP DeskJet D2560 InkJet Printer on, and then open the top cover. After that, you must push the exhausted ink cartridge down to unlock it, and then remove the exhausted component from the ink cartridge carriage. Now, you must unpack the new ink cartridge, and then remove the plastic tape from the contact area of the new component. In the next step of the replacement procedure, you must insert the new ink cartridge into the carriage, and then push it down until it snaps into place.
