When do I Replace an Ink Cartridge in the Dell 968

You can check the status of the installed ink cartridges by selecting [Maintenance] – [View Ink Levels]. One of the listed indications will appear if an installed ink cartridge needs replacing.

How to Install an Ink Cartridge in the Dell 968

In the initial step of the replacement procedure, you must switch the Dell 968 on, and then open the scanner unit. After that, you must wait until the ink cartridge carrier stops moving, and then press the lever of the exhausted ink cartridge down. Now, you must open the ink cartridge lid, and then remove the exhausted ink cartridge from the carrier. In the next step of the replacement procedure, you must remove the sticker and the transparent tape from the new ink cartridge, and then insert the new component into the corresponding slot. Once the new ink cartridge is inserted, you must close the ink cartridge lid, and then finalize the replacement procedure by closing the scanner unit.
