When do I Replace an Ink Cartridge in the HP OfficeJet 9110 InkJet Printer?

You can check the status of the installed ink cartridges from:

You should replace an installed ink cartridge if any of the listed messages and print quality problems appears. Please note that you can extend the useful life of the installed ink cartridges by using the Fast printing mode.

� Nothing is printed – You must make sure that the protective tape has been removed from the installed printheads, and then check the ink levels. All empty ink cartridges must be replaced.

� Printouts are faded – One or more installed ink cartridge has/have reached near the end of its/their useful life. You should replace all nearly empty ink cartridges.

� [ INK CARTRIDGE UNKNOWN. PRESS [OK] TO CONTINUE.] – You have installed a compatible non-OEM ink cartridge. You have to press the [OK] button if you want to use the non-OEM ink cartridge.

� [ INK CARTRIDGE EMPTY] or [REPLACE INK CARTRIDGE] – The indicated ink cartridge is empty. Please install a new ink cartridge of the corresponding color.

� [ INK CARTRIDGE EXPIRED] – Each of the installed ink cartridges has an expiration date. The indicated ink cartridge has expired, and needs to be replaced.

� [ INK CARTRIDGE MISSING] – The HP OfficeJet 9110 InkJet Printer does not detect the specified ink cartridge. The specified ink cartridge is missing, installed incorrectly, or defective. You should remove the specified ink cartridge from the printer, reinstall it by following the detailed instructions provided further below, and then test the HP OfficeJet 9110 InkJet Printer.
