When do I Replace an Ink Cartridge in the Lexmark Z53

You can check the status of the installed ink cartridges from the Cartridges menu of the Lexmark Z53 control panel. One of the listed indications will appear if an installed ink cartridge needs replacing.

� The ink level indicators on the Cartridge tab are red

� Incorrect colors

� The Power and Paper Feed indicators flash

� The message [Ink Low] is displayed

How to Install an Ink Cartridge in the Lexmark Z53

In the initial step of the replacement procedure, you must make sure that your Lexmark Z53 is switched on, and then open the front cover. After that, you must wait until the ink cartridge carrier stops moving, and then pull the exhausted ink cartridge towards you in order to unlock it. Now, you must remove the exhausted ink cartridge from the Lexmark Z53, and then remove the sticker and the tape from the replacement ink cartridge. In the next step of the replacement procedure, you must insert the new ink cartridge into the empty slot, and then push it forward until it locks into place. Once the new ink cartridge is installed, you must select the Cartridges menu of the control panel, and then select [Install cartridge]. Finally, you must select [Yes] to align the installed ink cartridge, and then test your Lexmark Z53.
