BROTHER MFC-7460DN OEM TONER CARTRIDGE - HIGH YIELD

Your Brother MFC-7460DN Multifunction Printer is equipped with a highly sophisticated built-in system, which is constantly monitoring the status/condition of all consumable components. Once the monitoring system detects an abnormality in the status of the installed toner cartridge, it will display an appropriate warning or error message on the MFC-7460DN' LCD. There are three different messages which are indicating the various lifespan stages of the toner cartridge and its current toner level. These messages are included and explained below.

1. ''Toner Low'' – This is a warning message, which is indicating that the toner level in the installed toner cartridge is below the normal working minimum. The purpose of this message is to give you enough time for a new toner cartridge purchase and installation. The recommended action, once this warning message appears in the control LCD, is a prompt toner cartridge replacement.

2. ''Replace Toner'' – This is also a warning message, but it is indicating that the toner cartridge has been almost completely emptied (99% of the toner has been already consumed). The printer will automatically switch to a non-operational mode, and all printing operations will be disabled. However, you could override the non-operational mode by navigating to [MENU] – [1] – [8] and selecting [Continue], but please note that you will be able to print no more than 5-10 new pages. The recommended action in this situation is an immediate new toner cartridge installation.

3. ''Toner Ended'' – This is an error message, which is indicating a complete toner cartridge exhaustion and a non-operational printer mode. The only available action is a new toner cartridge installation.

In the first step of the toner cartridge replacement in your Brother MFC-7460DN Multifunction Printer, you must make sure that the printer is turned on, and then open the front cover. After that, you must wait at least 15 minutes for the printer to cool down, and then take out the drum unit assembly by pulling it carefully towards you. Now, you must remove the exhausted toner cartridge from the drum unit by pulling its front side upwards while pushing down the green lock release lever, which is located on the left side of the drum unit. In the next step of the replacement procedure, you must take the new toner cartridge out of the transport packaging, and then shake it several times horizontally, in order to loosen and evenly distribute the toner. Then, you must remove the protective cover from the new toner cartridge, but avoid touching the cartridge's contact area. Once the new toner cartridge is prepared, you must firmly insert it into the new drum unit until it clicks into place, and then make sure that the green lock release lever has been automatically raised/elevated. Now, you must clean the primary corona wire of the drum unit by sliding several times the green cleaning tab along the recess and back to its original position. Finally, you must insert the drum assembly (new toner cartridge+drum unit) into the printer, and then close the front cover. Please note that you should avoid opening the front cover or turning off your Brother MFC-7460DN Multifunction Printer during the automatic new toner cartridge initialization.
