BROTHER HL-1270N OEM TONER CARTRIDGE - HIGH YIELD

The lifespan of the toner cartridge installed in your Brother HL-1270N is defined by various factors, such as the type of the used toner cartridge (starter, standard, or high yield/capacity), the used print settings, the percentage of page coverage, etc... Therefore, your laser printer is equipped with a highly sophisticated built-in system, which is constantly monitoring the remaining print resource (toner) of the installed toner cartridge. Once the system detects that the installed toner cartridge is near or at the end of its useful life, it will display a special warning or an error message on the control LCD of your laser device along with additional sensor indications. All messages and LED signals used by the monitoring system are included below.

The [Alarm] and [Data] LEDs are blinking and/or the following warning message ''Toner Low'' is displayed on the control LCD – This is an indication of a nearly empty toner cartridge. You should prepare a new toner cartridge and install it soon after the initial appearance of the warning message and/or the LED signalization.

The [Alarm] and [Data] LEDs are ON (without blinking) and/or the following error message ''Toner Empty'' is displayed on the control LCD – The installed toner cartridge has been 100% exhausted (there is no toner left) and all print operations are suspended. The only available action, in order to be restored the normal/full functionality of your laser device, is the installation of a new toner cartridge.

You must start the toner cartridge replacement procedure by opening the front cover of your Brother HL-1270N, and then carefully take the drum unit out of the compartment by pulling it straight towards you. Please note that you should avoid touching the electrodes inside the laser printer, in order to be avoided damages caused by static electricity. In the next step, you must detach the exhausted toner cartridge from the drum unit by pulling it out while pushing down the colored lock release lever, which is located on the right side of the drum unit, and then take the new toner cartridge out of the protective packaging. Now, you must prepare the new consumable component for installation by shaking it 7-8 times horizontally, and then remove the yellow protective cover from the shutter of the cartridge. Please note that you should avoid touching the contact area of the new toner cartridge and the drum (located on the top side of the drum unit) in order to be avoided irreparable damages to these components. Once the new toner cartridge is prepared, you must insert it into the drum unit until it clicks into place, and then make sure that the colored lock release lever on the right side of the drum unit has been automatically elevated/moved to ''upper''/''locked'' position. After that, you must clean the primary corona wire of the drum unit by sliding several times the blue tab (on the top side of the drum unit) along the cleaning channel, and then return the blue tab to its original position on the left side of the cleaning channel. Finally, you must insert the drum unit along with the securely attached new toner cartridge into the laser printer, and then close the front cover.
