BROTHER MFC-7440N OEM TONER CARTRIDGE - HIGH YIELD

The maximal lifespan of the toner cartridge installed in your Brother MFC-7440N Multifunction Printer is defined by the toner cartridge's type, the type of used paper, the percentage of page coverage, the used printer settings, etc... There are three types of toner cartridges for your printer, and all of them are listed below along with their approximate lifespan:

 Starter toner cartridge – 1000 pages with 5% coverage
 Standard toner cartridge – 1500 pages with 5% coverage
 High Yield toner cartridge – 2600 pages with 5% coverage

As you can see, each toner cartridge's type has a certain printing resource, which will be eventually consumed. Once the toner cartridge installed in your MFC-7440N is near the end of its useful life, resp. its toner level is low, the built-in toner cartridge monitoring system will detect the status abnormality, and then you will see the following warning message ''Toner Low'' appearing on the control LCD. In order to maintain the normal working state of your printer and to avoid interruptions of your work, you should replace the exhausted toner cartridge soon after the initial appearance of the warning message. Otherwise, the remaining toner will be consumed very soon, and then all printing operations will be disabled. This non-operational printer mode will be indicated by the following error message ''Toner Life End'' appearing on the control LCD. You could easily avoid such annoying work/task/project interruptions by simply keeping a spare toner cartridge in stock and installing it by following the included below toner cartridge replacement procedure.

Important: Some of the printer components, which are installed close to the drum unit and toner cartridge assembly, will be extremely hot. Therefore, you must avoid touching the components surrounding the drum unit and toner cartridge assembly.

You must start the toner cartridge replacement in your Brother MFC-7440N Multifunction Printer by opening the front printer cover, and then you must take out the drum assembly by carefully pulling it towards you. In the next step, you must remove the exhausted toner cartridge by pushing down the colored lock release lever, which is located on the front side of the drum unit, and then pull the cartridge out. New Toner Cartridge Preparation

1. Take the new toner cartridge out of the transport packaging.
2. Hold the new toner cartridge with both hands and shake it 8-10 times horizontally.
3. Remove the protective plastic cover from the contact area of the new toner cartridge.
4. Immediately proceed with the next step of the toner cartridge replacement procedure.

Once the new toner cartridge is prepared, you must insert it firmly into the drum unit until you hear a click, and then make sure that the colored lock release lever has been automatically raised. After that, you must clean the primary corona wire of the drum unit, in order to avoid future print quality problems/issues.

Primary Corona Wire Cleaning

1. Look at the rear side of the drum unit and locate the little green tab.
2. Grab the tab and slide it to the right side of the drum unit.
3. Return the tab back to its original position.
4. Repeat step 2 and 3 several times.
5. Make sure that the green tab is back to its original position.

After the primary corona wire cleaning, you must insert the drum unit and new toner cartridge assembly into the printer. Finally, you must close the front cover of your Brother MFC-7440N Multifunction Printer, and then wait for the automatic new toner cartridge initializing operation to be completed.
