Product Description
Toshiba E-Studio 150 Toner Cartridge - 6,500 Pages

This Toner Cartridge prints 6500 pages with an average 5% page coverage. The amount of pages can vary depending upon the amount of ink printed onto each page. (5% page coverage is a standard Toshiba specification)

This product comes with a 6 month Warranty against any defects (including free replacement). We stand behind our products 100%, as these are not manufactured by Toshiba.

Why toner? Why not call it ink? Regular ink dries quickly, which is why cartridges for inkjet printers do not last long. Laser Printers use toner, which is ink in the form of powder. A sealed toner cartridge can be stored for 2+ years prior to usage.

When do I Replace a Toner Cartridge in the Toshiba e-Studio 150 Digital Plain Paper Copier?
The prompt Toner Cartridge replacement of the Toshiba e-Studio 150 Digital Plain Paper Copier is very important, because at some point the cartridge starts to run out of toner, which could lead to reduced printing quality or even no printing at all. Herein, you should frequently check the toner levels of your E-STUDIO 150. If the toner cartridge is close to the end of its lifecycle, you will see the following message ``Toner Near Empty`` on your maintenance display (less than 10% toner left in the cartridge), along with LED signalization (LED on, without blinking). In this case, you could continue using the copier, but for very limited period of time. When the toner cartridge runs completely out of toner, you will see the following message ``Toner EMPTY`` on your maintenance display, along with a blinking LED light on your copier. All copier operations will be stopped/blocked in this situation, and you won`t be able to use the copier. You must replace the old/exhausted toner cartridge in your Toshiba e-Studio 150 Digital Plain Paper Copier in each of the above situations.
How to Install a Toner Cartridge in the Toshiba e-Studio 150 Digital Plain Paper Copier
Initially, you have to replace your old/exhausted toner cartridge. Herein, you must open both front and side cabinets of your Toshiba e-Studio 150 Digital Plain Paper Copier. In the next step, you must locate the toner cartridge, hold down its lever to unlock it, and pull it out of the copier. You should prepare a plastic collection bag before the cartridge replacement, in order to safely pack it afterwards. Once the old cartridge is out, you can proceed with the installation of the new one. First, you must unpack the cartridge and shake it horizontally 7-8 times, in order to evenly distribute the toner inside the cartridge. You must avoid holding the toner cartridge by its shutter. After that, you must remove the protective/packing tape and the cushion by pulling both in the direction pointed by the illustrated arrow. Now, you can insert the new toner cartridge into the copier, but remember to push its lock/unlock lever while pushing it into place. Finally, you must pull out the shutter from the toner cartridge by pulling it towards you. The new toner cartridge is installed and you can close the previously opened front and side cabinets.

Toshiba e-Studio 150 Review

Overview:

Sharing the same appearance and functions as the e-Studio 120 but only with enhanced copying speed, Toshiba e-Studio 150 boasts for its versatile print, copy and full color scan functionality. It's great for serious establishments looking for serious outputs. Not only a significant boost to a business workflow but also a great choice for its wide array of functions just like the Toner Saver mode that maximizes document productivity while minimizing the cost per page. An e-Studio design including that of e-Studio 150 is in cream color coupled with some simple yet smart-looking lines that just heightens its distinctiveness. At the front most part of the top panel is a readily visible dark gray panel with highlights in it including an array of several buttons for basic functions such as starting or stopping print, copy or scan actions.

Pros:

First on the list is the full-color scanning functionality of Toshiba e-Studio 150 which can provide your scanning needs under the resolution of 1200 x 600 DPI that can be set to five different settings which could be either scan-to-file, scan-to-email, scan-to-fax, scan-to-OCR, scan-to word or scan-to-applications. Network scanning speed is decent at 2.88 ms/line and scanned documents can be saved into PDF or JPEG file format.

Having as well same copy functions as that of e-Studio 120, e-Studio 150 has standout as an excellent and cost-effective copier. First copy out time is within 9.6 seconds at a warm-up time of 30 seconds. Copying actions can be done in a zooming ratio of 25%-400% that offers multiple copying of up to 99 copies.

It is effective for rush printing needs at a printing speed of 35 PPM (pages per minute) both for colored or black and white printouts in no hassle thanks to the built-in automatic document feeder. This speed is associated by a decent print resolution of 600 x 600 DPI.

Paper capacity is not that large but is still sufficient which is standard at 300 sheets and can be expanded for up to a maximum of 550 sheets. The standard paper sheet capacity is given by a 250-sheet paper drawer and a 50-sheet Multipurpose tray great for handling special media types. With the dimensions of 11.6”H x 20.4”W x 18.5”D and weight of approximately 35 lbs., Toshiba e-Studio 150 is relatively non-bulky and mobility is not really a problem

Cons:

Toshiba e-Studio 150 is considerably speedy in terms of copy speed compared to e-Studio 120 but still isn’t that impressive at 15 PPM (pages per minute) since a lot of faster multifunction device of its batch has a faster copy engine as well as its non-expandable standard memory of 8 MB is pretty low.

Operating system compatibility is also a hassle as by default, it is incompatible to newer operating systems namely Windows Vista and 7 since its compatibility are on operating systems prior to its release or in the case of Windows OS, its compatibility is only until Windows XP and so driver/s (if available, which may be found directly in the official manufacturer’s site) is/are needed to be downloaded and installed to be compatible with these newer operating systems.
