When do I Replace a Toner Cartridge in the Toshiba E-Studio 203 Laser Printer?

The unique design of the toner cartridge enables the Toshiba E-Studio 203 Laser Printer to operate until all the toner has been used, without compromising print quality. The useful life of a new toner cartridge is approx. 24,000 pages at 5% coverage. The installed toner cartridge should be replaced with a new one if:

The [Add Toner] indicator is on and the following message [Install new toner cartridge] is displayed on the LCD screen of your Toshiba E-Studio 203 Laser Printer – The installed toner cartridge is empty. Printing will not continue until a new toner cartridge is installed. Please follow the detailed instruction given further below to install the new toner cartridge.

You have selected correct image density settings, but the printouts are still too faded – The installed toner cartridge is near the end of its useful life. You should install a new toner cartridge.

How to Install a Toner Cartridge in the Toshiba E-Studio 203 Laser Printer

You must open the front cover of your Toshiba E-Studio 203 Laser Printer, and then push the green lever of the toner cartridge slot down. After that, you must remove the used toner cartridge by pulling it straight towards you, and then unpack the new toner cartridge. Please rock the new toner cartridge 7-8 times horizontally before installing it into the laser printer, in order to be avoided future print quality issues caused by uneven toner distribution. In the next step of the installation, you must remove the seal of the new toner cartridge, and then slide the cartridge along the guides of the slot until it clicks into place. Once the new toner cartridge is firmly inserted, you must lower the bypass tray, open the automatic duplexer, and then open the transfer cover. Now, you must take the transfer charger cleaner, and use it to wipe the transfer wire. At this stage of the installation, you must return the transfer charger cleaner to its original place, and then close the transfer cover. Finally, you must close the automatic duplexer and the bypass tray, and then close the front cover of your Toshiba E-Studio 203 Laser Printer.

Pros:

With the Toshiba e-Studio 203, you can be ready to print in no time. It only needs 25 seconds to warm up and 5.4 seconds to produce the first copy. This is perfect if you need to print last minute documents for an important meeting.
The Toshiba e-Studio203 is large and will take up a lot of space. It measures 26”X28”X29” and weighs 148 pounds. This device is compatible with Netware 4.x, 5.x, 6.x, Windows Me/2000/XP, Windows NT 4.0, Windows Server 2003, Citrix MetaFrame, Macintosh, Linux, and UNIX.
