E-STUDIO 25 DRUM

Your Toshiba e-Studio 25 Laser Printer is equipped with a built-in system, which is constantly monitoring the condition of the drum unit. When the drum unit is close to the end of its lifecycle, you will see the following message ``Drum life warning`` on your e-Studio 25 display. In this situation, you will be still able to use the printer, but for no more than 1000 copies. When the drum unit is completely out of printing resource, you will see the following message ``Replace process unit`` on your printer`s display, and all printing operations will be stopped/blocked. In both of the above situations, you must change the drum unit of your Toshiba e-Studio 25 Laser Printer.

In order to replace the old/exhausted drum unit with a new one, you must open the stack feed bypass and then open the side cover of the copier. In case that your e-Studio 25 is equipped with an automatic duplexing unit, then you must also open the duplexing unit by pulling up on the release grip. Now, you must open the side cover of the printer and remove the cartridge by releasing the locking hook and pulling the cartridge towards you. In the next step, you must locate the colored handle of the process unit, and use it to pull the unit out. When the process unit is halfway out, you must grab it by the top handle (also colored) in order to completely separate it from the printer. Once the old process/drum unit is out of the e-Studio 25 Laser Printer, you may unpack the new drum unit and remove its sealing tape. Please remember to protect the drum unit from direct sunlight or any physical contacts to the photoconductive drum. When the new drum unit is unpacked, you can install it by following the above procedure in reverse order. Once the toner cartridge is also back in its place, you must move the charger wire cleaning lever of the process unit, which will clean the charger wire. Finally, you can close all previously opened printer`s covers, and if your e-Studio 25 Laser Printer is equipped with an automatic duplexing unit, then you should also latch it into position.
