PHASER 6250 FUSER ASSEMBLY

The fuser assembly unit is a very important consumable component. You can check the status of the fuser assembly unit installed in your Xerox Phaser 6250 Color Laser Printer from the control panel, from CentreWare IS, or by printing a Usage Profile page. You should replace the installed fuser assembly unit with a new one when the following message ‘’Fuser Is Near End of Life’’ appears in the PrintingScout window. Please be aware that the installed fuser unit can be damaged if:

You change the used paper type without changing the paper type settings

You use inkjet paper

You use thin coated paper

Initially, you must turn the laser printer off, and open its front cover. Then, you must open the cover of the main compartment. After that, you must slide the two lock/release levers of the exhausted fuser assembly unit to the marked unlocked position, and then pull the assembly slightly towards you. Now, you must take the exhausted fuser assembly unit out of the Xerox Phaser 6250 Color Laser Printer, and then unpack the new component. Please be aware that your Xerox Phaser 6250 Color Laser Printer does not support fuser assembly units designed for use in Xerox Phaser 6200 Color Laser Printer. In the next step, you must slide the new fuser assembly unit into place, making sure that the arrows stamped on the new component are aligned with the marks on the slot, and then push the two lock/release levers of the new component towards the rear side of the printer. Finally, you must close the cover of the main compartment and the front cover, and then turn the Xerox Phaser 6250 Color Laser Printer on.
