PHASER 6350 FEED ROLLER ASSEMBLY

The installed transfer roller in your Xerox Phaser 6350 Color Laser Printer has a certain printing resource, which will be eventually consumed. When the transfer roller is near the end of its useful life, you will see the following warning message ‘’Transfer Roller is at End of Life’’, and you should purchase a new transfer roller, in order to replace the exhausted one. Please note, the printer won`t automatically switch to a ‘’Hard Stop’’ mode, when the above warning message appears in the control display, and you will be still able to print new documents. However, the printing quality will be drastically decreased, and you will experience a variety of print quality problems, if you do not replace the exhausted transfer roller soon. Once the printing resource of the transfer roller is completely consumed, you will see the following error message ‘’Code 206: Replace Transfer Roller’’ appearing in the control display. In this situation, your Xerox Phaser 6350 Color Laser Printer will automatically switch to a ‘’Hard Stop’’  mode, and all printing operations will be disabled until the exhausted transfer roller is replaced.

Important!
During printing operations the fuser assembly unit becomes very hot. Herein, you should turn the printer power off and wait for at least 10-15 minutes, before proceeding with the below transfer roller replacement procedure.

Initially, you must open the lower front cover of your Xerox Phaser 6350 Color Laser Printer by gently pulling towards you its labeled with a stamped ‘’A’’ lock release lever. Then, you must remove the exhausted transfer roller by squeezing the latch on each end and lifting the transfer roller out of your PHASER 6350. Now, you must unpack the new transfer roller and slide it slowly into the printer`s mounting studs, but handle it by its locking latches and avoid touching the roller`s surface. Once the new transfer roller is in place, you must secure it by locking both side latches. Finally, you can close the transfer roller`s front cover and test your XEROX PHASER 6350 Color Laser Printer.
