This Toner Cartridge prints 7000 pages with an average 5% page coverage. The amount of pages can vary depending upon the amount of ink printed onto each page. (5% page coverage is a standard Savin specification)

This product comes with a 6 month Warranty against any defects (including free replacement). We stand behind our products 100%, as these are not manufactured by Savin.

Why toner? Why not call it ink? Regular ink dries quickly, which is why cartridges for inkjet printers do not last long. Laser Printers use toner, which is ink in the form of powder. A sealed toner cartridge can be stored for 2+ years prior to usage.

When do I Replace a Toner Cartridge in the Savin 816 Black & White Multifunction Printer?

Your Savin 816 Black & White Multifunction Printer is equipped with a built-in system, which is constantly monitoring the toner cartridge status. Once the above system detects a low toner level in the toner cartridge, you will see the following message ‘’Add toner’’ reappearing in the control display, and additionally the ‘’Add Toner’’ indicator will be on (blinking). You must replace the exhausted toner cartridge, when the above warning message appears. Otherwise, the remaining toner will be completely consumed after approximately 50 new prints, which will lead to the disabling of all printing operations. The printing quality will be also affected by the low toner level. Herein, you should always keep a spare toner cartridge for your Savin 816 Black & White Multifunction Printer.

How to Install a Toner Cartridge in the Savin 816 Black & White Multifunction Printer

You must start the toner cartridge replacement procedure in your Savin 816 Black & White Multifunction Printer by opening the front cover. Then, you must raise the green holder lever and push it in, in order to pull out the toner holder afterwards. Now, you must gently push the exhausted toner cartridge back and slowly pull it out of the printer. Please note, you must avoid shaking the exhausted toner cartridge, because it may leak. After that, you must prepare the new toner cartridge by unpacking and shaking it 7-8 times horizontally. In the next step of the toner cartridge replacement procedure, you must remove the black protective cap and insert the new toner cartridge into the toner cartridge holder. Once the new toner cartridge is in place, you must push the green lever back into the printer until it clicks and then push it down to locked position. Finally, you can close the front cover and test your Savin 816 Black & White Multifunction Printer.
