When do I Replace a Toner Cartridge in the Ricoh Aficio CL3000 Printer?

The Ricoh Aficio CL3000 Printer will display one of the listed messages if it detects a toner cartridge-related abnormality or status change.

[Add Toner: XXX] – The Ricoh Aficio CL3000 Printer is out of [XXX] toner. Please install a new toner cartridge of the indicated color.

[Reset Toner XXX] – The Ricoh Aficio CL3000 Printer does not detect the specified toner cartridge. You should remove the indicated toner cartridge from the machine and then reinstall it. Please replace the specified toner cartridge if the same message appears again.

[Toner is Almost Empty: XXX] – The indicated toner cartridge is nearing end of life. You should order a new set of toner cartridges.

How to Install a Toner Cartridge in the Ricoh Aficio CL3000 Printer

In the initial step of the replacement procedure, you must open the upper left cover of your Ricoh Aficio CL3000 Printer, and then unlock the exhausted toner cartridge by sliding it towards the control panel. After that, you must pull the exhausted toner cartridge out of the printer, and then take the new toner cartridge out of the protective bag. Now, you must redistribute the toner by shaking the new cartridge several times from side to side, and then insert the new component into corresponding toner cartridge slot. Finally, you must slide the new toner cartridge towards the rear side of the printer until it stops, and then close the upper left cover.

Overview:

The Ricoh Aficio CL3000 is easy to set up. All you have to do is read the user’s guide and set up the drivers for either Mac or PC. Output quality is excellent. Text is sharp and easily readable at smaller fonts. Print speeds are up to 21 pages per minute when printing text.

Pros:

Color output is outstanding since it offers 1200 by 1200 dpi resolution output. There are no signs of dithering and colors are accurate. It produces 15 pages per minute in color and 21 pages per minute when printing text.

Toner cartridges are affordable. They yield around 5,000 prints. As a result the cost per page of printing with this unit is relatively inexpensive. Input trays are adequate and well built. This unit will produce the first page in just 10 seconds. It comes with an Ethernet connection that can be used to set up your network.

Cons:

The Ricoh Aficio CL3000 only comes with 64MB of memory which means that you will have to pay more to add additional memory.
