When do I Replace a Toner Cartridge in the Sharp AR-BC260 Color Laser Copier/Printer?

The toner monitoring system in your Sharp AR-BC260 will display a warning message, when any of the installed toner cartridges is close the end of its useful life. When the toner level in a toner cartridge becomes too low, you will see the following message ‘’ [COLOR] TONER SUPPLY IS LOW’’, where the [COLOR] will be replaced with the color of the exhausted cartridge/cartridges. You must replace the exhausted toner cartridge in the above situation. However, if you choose to continue using the printer with the nearly empty toner cartridge, then you will see the following message ‘’! CHANGE THE TONER CARTRIDGE. [COLOR]’’, once the toner cartridge is completely exhausted. Please note, that all printing/copying operations will be suspended/blocked, when the above message appears. Herein, you must purchase a new toner cartridge and replace the old/exhausted one.

How to install a Toner Cartridge in the Sharp AR-BC260 Color Laser Copier/Printer

In order to replace the exhausted toner cartridge with a new one, you must open the front cover of your Sharp AR-BC260 Color Laser Copier/Printer. Behind the cover you will see all four toner cartridges in the following order (left-right): Yellow, Magenta, Cyan, and Black. Each toner cartridge is equipped with a lock lever, which you must lift slowly up and then pull towards you, in order to remove an exhausted toner cartridge. For easier toner cartridge disassembly, you can use its top handle, once the cartridge is halfway out of the printer. After the old/exhausted toner cartridge removal, you must unpack the new one and shake it 6-7 times horizontally. Now, you must remove the front protective cover from the new toner cartridge and insert the cartridge slowly into the copier until it locks securely in place. Finally, you must push down the toner cartridge lock lever and close the front cover of your Sharp AR-BC260 Color Laser Copier/Printer. Please note, that after a toner cartridge has been replaced, the printer will automatically switch to resolution adjustment mode.

Cons:
