BROTHER HL-1270N DRUM

One of the most important consumable components, regarding print quality, installed in your Brother HL-1270N is the drum unit. The work condition of the installed drum unit is directly defining the overall print quality results, and if the drum unit in your laser printer is already exhausted, then you will notice a variety of print quality issues very soon. Therefore, the drum unit must be replaced once it reaches the end of its useful life. The built-in monitoring system of your HL-1270N will turn ON the [Drum] LED, once it detects that the consumable component has been exhausted. Please note that the [Drum] LED is located above the [Data], [Alarm], and [Ready] indicators, and it will be lit in yellow, when the time for a new drum unit installation comes.

In the initial step of the replacement procedure, you must gain access to the exhausted drum unit by opening the front cover of your Brother HL-1270N. Then, you must grab the drum unit by its front side and pull towards you to remove it from the printer. Once the exhausted drum unit is out, you must detach the toner cartridge (only if it's still useable) by pulling it out of the drum unit while pressing the colored lock release lever located below its right side. After that, you must carefully unpack the new drum unit, and then slide the toner cartridge into the new component until you hear a click. Please note that you will have to reinstall the toner cartridge to the new drum unit, if the blue lock release lever on the right side hasn't been automatically moved to ''locked'' position. In the next step of the replacement procedure, you must insert the new drum unit and toner cartridge assembly into the printer, and then reset the page counter. Finally, you must close the front cover, and then test your Brother HL-1270N laser printer.
