BROTHER HL-5070N DRUM

The drum unit installed in your Brother HL-5070N Laser Printer should be replaced before it reaches the end of its useful life. Because of that fact, you will be notified by the built-in monitoring system, before the drum unit becomes completely exhausted/used-up. The signal used for your advanced notification will be a blinking in yellow ''Drum'' LED. Please note that the ''Drum'' LED is one of the indicators of the control panel, and it is located below the ''Toner'' LED/indicator. Once you have noticed the described above signal, you should promptly replace the exhausted drum unit. In case that you are unable to replace the exhausted component soon after the initial appearance of the warning, then you can expect a gradually decreasing print quality, and eventually, a complete disabling of all printing operations due to a exhausted/inoperable drum unit. In order to avoid such interruptions of your work, you should purchase a new drum unit for your Brother HL-5070N Laser Printer, immediately after the initial appearance of the signal, which is indicating an exhausted drum unit.

Initially, you must open the front cover of your printer, and then remove the drum assembly by pulling it straight toward you. In the next step of the replacement procedure, you must detach the toner cartridge from the exhausted drum unit by pulling it toward you while pushing down the blue lock release lever, which is located below the right side of the toner cartridge. Once the toner cartridge is detached from the exhausted drum unit, you must insert it into the unpacked new drum unit, but make sure that the toner cartridge clicks into place and the blue lock release lever is automatically raised. After that, you must insert the drum assembly (toner cartridge+new drum unit) into the printer's slot, and then make sure that the the printer is on. Finally, you must reset the drum unit counter and close the front cover of your Brother HL-5070N Laser Printer.
